jef's b-day present this year will be a cross-stitched megaman screenshot. 8-bit graphics are perfect for cross-stitch because they're supposed to look square.

the first month or so

it probably took about 30 hours of stitching to get this far. took almost as long to figure out the logistics, like which colors would be best, since tv screens and thread show colors really differently.

(plus i messed up once and had to start over; tried to use cloth that was too small, and it lost me a whole day's work.)
